Another quick hop on and post. Today’s topic: Collectible Tins
This one goes WAY back to the early 1900s. Lipton’s Tea use to come in these tins – I know, great, huh? The lid and base are embossed.
Just reading this lid makes me crave a cuppa’.
This tin was once full of the Planter Ceylon blend. Now, outside of being a Lipton Tea Tin collector what can you do with these? Answer: They make great stash boxes, but for me, I love filling them with today’s version of Lipton tea bags and giving this as a house warming gift or inexpensive (but they know I still care) Christmas gift. Don’t forget to add a bow on top, though.
My other Vintage tin is this 80’s collectible featuring America’s favorite cereal – Kellogg’s Corn Flakes. These old tins make fun window planters – too.
